Akij Board production plant is equipped with world famous German technology Siempelkamp, Generation 8 ContiRoll® Press. 8th Generation ContiRoll® press is the latest model press of Siempelkamp. ContiRoll® press is the core element of forming and pressing line of particle board. It offers almost isobaric pressure distribution. Patented pressure distribution plates ensure consistent pressure in working direction acting on the product.

COMPOSITION

APBML has the only production facility in Bangladesh where different types of woods according to density classes are stacked in a well-organized wood yard and the woods are automatically supplied to the production lines. Then, the wood chips are stored in different chips storage and are sent to the flaker machine with an automated ratio-based recipe. As a result, each and every sheet of Akij Board accurately meets some desired quality parameters (e.g: density, thickness etc.)

GLUE KITCHEN

APBML has its own glue production plant where UF resin is produced by maintaining international standards to ensure low emission level. Fully automated Glue and other additives controlling systems in the Glue Kitchen ensure efficient gluing of the core layer and surface layers of the boards maintaining accurate ratio.

From production to application, having full control over the gluing system provides uniformity in distribution and mixing of chemical components which results in superior quality of the boards.

Several metal detectors are used in different stages of the production process which eradicates the tiniest metal particles from wood chips and ensures 0% metal content in the final products.

APBML is equipped with the German Sico Scanner system which scans and detects micro level defects in the board and ensures proper thickness and blister free board.

GLUE ROBOTIC FLAKER BLADE
SHARPENING SYSTEM

Flaking is one of the most important stages in the particle board production process where wood chips are finely cut into flakes of required thicknesses. Proper size of the flakes is very important to get superior mechanical properties of the produced board. In this section, blades used for flaking are sharpened and set through a robotic system which ensures desired size and thicknesses of the flakes.

The production plant of Akij Board is reinforced with German technology; where an efficient recycling system ensures proper waste management in every step of the production process. From different levels of production, all the wastes are recycled into energy in its own energy plant. This recycled energy goes back into the manufacturing process, to prevent energy wastage and achieve eco-friendliness.
